Don’t you think it is strange how the media bashes Catholics 75% of the time, probably reasoning that only ¼ of the world is Catholic so why not pander to the other 75%.  Yet when a Pope dies, they figure that ¼ of the world is watching so they are all gushingly sweet to the departed Pope, and the faithful.  I predict that the nicey nice treatment will last less than 9 days after a new Pope is announced, then back to the usual trouncing of the press.
