As much as I admire your persistance, I believe I can safely predict that the influence of your beloved Catholic Church will continue in a downward spiral to practical irrelevancy. Although not a Catholic, as you know, I can't say that I'm entirely pleased about that -- but, there is little doubt that the Catholocism you advocate and practice is rarely practiced anywhere in the world outside of the few like you who will stay faithful to the traditions through to your death. As well, I similarly admire your dedication to fighting legal abortion. Again, you will likely find that you'll not see much gain on this issue in our lifetimes either. I haven't been here in many many months and I so do miss your comment generator responses! No: Ireland! The poll was conducted
by the Landsdowne Market Research company, which interviewed a
representative sample of 946 people in Ireland and reported the
results on April 9, 2007.
The poll concluded that Ireland's Catholic culture is now a thing of
past. The Church since 1957 in only forty years has accomplished what
the Protestant British and Cromwell couldn't do in 300 years: it has
essentially eradicated from Ireland the Catholic Faith that was
originally planted by St. Patrick in the fifth century.
Since that time, most regular Church going Catholics have found the liberal changes that have be made to the church since 1957 so offputting that most have stopped attending mass all together.
The answer plainly should be for the Church to witness this and reverse the perverse.
