Church's Great Sex & Embezzlement Scandal Spreads Now to England
02.03.10 (8:34 pm)   [edit]
As Sex Crimes by church Clergy Spiral Up Again The St. Williams Community Home, Run by the De La Salle Christian Brothers Has Been Identified as the Site of England's Biggest Historical Sex Crimes Case As Pope Benedict-Ratzinger's Great Sex & Embezzlement Scandal Spreads 142 Child-victims Have Already Been Identified. The School's Brother Principal Was Convicted of Personally Assaulting 22 Children. Just as I predicted, Benedict-Ratzinger, who has been criminally negligent in doing anything about meting out justice to his criminal bishops and presbyters, has been hit in recent weeks by an ever-increasing spiral of sex crimes. The spread of the church's Great Sex & Embezzlement Scandal to Germany, already reported in Commentaries, appears to be only the tip of the iceberg. Twenty more child-victims have come forward in Germany to implicate church presbyters, in league with the hierarchy of the Novus Ordo Jesuits. The church presbyters, in filling their various positions over the years, have travelled far abroad and have had contact with thousands of children. The church's Great Sex & Embezzlement Scandal has now gained "legs," implicating not only the United States, but Ireland, Germany, South America -- and now England. In the biggest historical sex-crimes case against the church in England, a British court has ordered in the Middlesborough diocese, headed by Terence Drainey, a personal appointee of Benedict-Ratzinger, to pay 13,000,000 U.S. dollars in damages for running a children's home at which church presbyters assaulted and raped the children, aged between 10 and 16, at will, while the Novus Ordo hierarchy stood by and did nothing. 142 child-victims have already been identified at the St. Williams Community Home in Market Weighton, near York. The former Brother Principal at the home run by the De La Salle Christian Brothers was convicted of assaulting 22 children in the home and is now serving a 14-year prison sentence. the church is now reeling with a European nightmare on their hands. It was easier for Benedict-Ratzinger to blow off those Americans across the Atlantic Ocean, but now the scandal sits squarely on his own continent. As yet, following his practice since 2001 of just ignoring the serious crimes being perpetrated by his clergy, Benedict-Ratzinger has so far remained silent about the new scandals revealed in Germany and England on his watch. Three Days Until Obama's Commencement Address at the University of Notre Dame
05.14.09 (8:29 pm)   [edit]
"The White House has said Obama will not announce a decision this week [on a replacement for retiring Supreme Court Justice David Souter]. It appears increasingly likely, though, that he will do so before month's end." Associated Press, May 13. "We have here, however, the granting of an honorary degree of law to someone whose activities, both as president and previously, have been altogether supportive of laws against the dignity of the human person yet to be born. . . ." From an April 21 letter sent to the President of the University of Notre Dame by Bishop John D'Arcy, the Bishop of Fort Wayne-South Bend. Bishop D'Arcy will not be attending the university's May 17 commencement. As I write this, we are only three days away from pro-abortion President Barack Obama's appearance on the campus of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. Obama will deliver the commencement address and receive an honorary doctor of laws degree. But (as I predicted at the time news broke), if anything, the controversy stoked by the decision of the nation's most recognizably Catholic University to honor the most pro-abortion President in our history has grown even hotter. Someone asked me if there was anything that Obama might do, in the few days that remain, to make an already contentious situation worse. I responded that he could name his pro-abortion nominee to the Supreme Court this week. But, presumably, not even Obama is that emboldened. And somehow he will get credit for "graciousness." This made me think of all the credit the usual suspects gave Obama when he chose to wait until the day after the annual March for Life to deep-six the pro-life Mexico City policy. Because he did not rub this in our faces, we were told, pro-lifers were supposed to take that a sign of his limitless good faith and fundamental moderation. This established the basic media template which we will endure for the next four years: be grateful for crumbs. Back to Notre Dame: From the very first rationalizations offered, it was clear there was never any realistic possibility University President Rev. John Jenkins would withdraw the invitation. I've written about it many times in this space, so let's just say that the justifications he provided at the time and afterward were odd and embarrassingly weak. But this did not prevent more than a few defenders from flatly stating that opposition to the selection wreaked of "politics" and carried unmistakable racist overtones. Speaking as a Catholic, I find this argument by character assassination almost as ugly as the nonsensical charges themselves. Loads of commentators have cited chapter and verse to illuminate how simplistic and one-dimensional (the children of light versus the children of darkness) much of the coverage of the controversy has been. That was richly on display in a piece that appeared in the Washington Post yesterday and ably critiqued by getreligion.org. If you are looking for a one-stop overview of all the cross currents at work, you could hardly do better than going to firsthings.com to read "At the Gates of Notre Dame," by Joseph Bottum. He does a magnificent job of putting the debate in its larger context. On March 20 it was announced that Obama would be giving commencement addresses at Arizona State University, the University of Notre Dame, and the United States Naval Academy. That same day "Notre Dame announced that it would also be honoring the president with a law degree: the only one of three schools to add an honorary doctorate to the commencement ceremonies," Bottum writes. You need to know that to understand why the objections run so deep, including from bishops from over 50 of the 195 dioceses. If you ponder the sequence, it is hard not to draw the conclusion that the President of the University of Notre Dame was figuratively poking his finger in the eye of the Bishops. As Bottum explains the bishops had put an enormous amount of effort into their 2004 document, "Catholics in Political Life." It including this: "Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles," the bishops said. "They should not be given awards, honors, or platforms which would suggest support for their actions." Pretty straightforward. In his first 100 days+, it is a simple fact (routinely denied, of course) that the Obama Administration has been on a pro-abortion tear. The "penalty"? He is honored by a university that is "firmly identified with Catholicism in the American mind." There will be many peaceful protests this weekend at the University of Notre Dame, led by pro-life students on campus. One example, according to Fox News, "The University of Notre Dame is allowing a group of seniors to hold a prayer demonstration on school grounds on Sunday, graduation day -- to protest President Obama's controversial visit, which the students say undermines the school's Catholic identity. 'The university isn't sponsoring it, but we've approved it,' university spokesman Dennis Brown told FOXNews.com on Tuesday." Obama no doubt sees the commencement address and honorary degree as part of his larger campaign to hypnotize pro-lifers in general, Catholic pro-lifers in particular, into believing that he's not such a bad guy after all. In fact, his mantra is that he is racing to embrace "common ground." And doesn't the invitation support that conclusion? But lest we forget, if not a single bishop had raised his voice in opposition, the laity would still have taken up the cause of defending the cause of life and the integrity of a great university. Bottum explained why brilliantly. "Still, opposition to abortion is hard and real, the signpost at the intersection of Catholicism and American public life. And those who--by inclination, or politics, or class distinction--fail to grasp this fact will all eventually find themselves in the situation that Fr. Jenkins has now created for himself. Culturally out of touch, they rail that antagonism must derive from politics or the class envy of their lesser-educated social inferiors. But it doesn't. It derives from the sense of the faithful that abortion is important. It derives from the feeling of Catholics that, however far they themselves may have wandered, the Church ought to stand for something in public life--and that something is opposition to abortion."

Will the Real Ratzinger Please Stand Up?!
07.12.07 (3:26 pm)   [edit]
In 1992 Ratzinger Wrote in the French Preface to Gamber's Book Trashing the New Order That the Novus Ordo Service of 1969 Was a "Fabricated Liturgy" In 2007's Summorum Pontificum He Now Claims that They Are One and the Same Even a Simpleton Can See What a Fabrication of His Own Benedict-Ratzinger Is Making! Are you getting the idea the Benedict-Ratzinger is making up his teaching as he goes along? He is quickly earning the reputation of being "The Flip-Flop Pope." The latest proof is his Great "Motu" Mass Hoax, in which he contradicts statements on the history of the Mass that he made just 15 years ago. In 1992 Ratzinger wrote a preface for the French edition, La Réform du Rite Romain, of Msgr. Klaus Gamber's 1979 Die Reform der Römischen Liturgie: Vorgeschichte und Problematik [The Reform of the Roman Liturgy: Its Problems and Background]. Gamber, highly praised as a liturgical scholar by Ratzinger at the time, wrote his book ten years after the introduction of Freemason Bugnini's New Order service in 1969 and absolutely devastated all the Novus Ordo frauds: a turned around table as an altar, Mass turned toward the congregation, the phony "Hippolytan" canon, the Aramaic ruse on the words of consecration, and many others. Ratzinger wrote at that time: What happened after the [Vatican II] Council was something else entirely: in the place of liturgy as the fruit of development came fabricated liturgy. We abandoned the organic, living process of growth and development over centuries, and replace it -- as in a manufacturing process -- with a fabrication, a banal on-the-spot product. In 1992 Ratzinger was clearing saying that the Novus Ordo service had no historical connection or resemblance to the Traditional Latin Mass that preceded it. The Novus Ordo service, Ratzinger then said, was a "fabrication" (the same word in his French as in English), the very word that the TRADITIO Network has consistently used of the Novus Ordo Protestant-Masonic-Pagan service. On July 7, 2007, in Summorum pontificum Benedict-Ratzinger did a volte-face, an about face, so brazen that it reminds us of the pagan Roman god Janus, who was depicted as having two faces turned opposite one another. Here is what he says in 2007: It is not appropriate to speak of these two versions of the Roman Missal [1962 and 1969] as if they were "two Rites." Rather, it is a matter of a twofold use of one and the same rite. Confronted with these two entirely contradictory statements about the history of the Mass, showing up Benedict-Ratzinger to be Janus-faced, we Fathers here are having trouble keeping a straight face! The Great "Motu" Mass Hoax is really quite laughable, especially since it has caught so many of the ignoscenti "talking-heads" so flat-footed, aptly to mix a metaphor.

B'nai B'rith's Foxman Moves to Sabotage Pius XII
05.24.07 (1:34 pm)   [edit]

Abraham Foxman, Anti-Catholic Bigot
Took on Mel Gibson for the Passion of the Christ
Now He's Demanded of Benedict-Ratzinger to Halt Canonization of Pope Pius XII
Who, according to Jewish Leaders, Did More for Them against Hitler
Than Any Other European Leader at the Time

Abraham Foxman, anti-Catholic bigot par excellence, has now turned his prejudice against Pope Pius XII. You remember Foxman from his attack upon traditional Catholic Mel Gibson for producing the Biblically-based Passion of the Christ. Foxman, the anti-Catholic bigot who heads the B'nai B'rith's so-called Anti-Defamation League, has defamed Pope Piux XII by calling upon Benedict-Ratzinger to suspend canonization of Pope Pius XII, whom because he "turned a blind eye to the death of Jews during World War Two." [Sources: Reuters, Haaretz of Israel]

Really?! Foxman has schismatized himself from Jewish leaders like Golda Meir and Albert Einstein. What are the facts about Pope Pius XII?

  • Pope Pius XII saved 860,000 Jews directly or indirectly; in Rome alone during the Nazi occupation 4,447 Jews were hidden in over 155 Catholic houses, ecclesiastical institutions, parishes and schools -- more than all other rescue operations, including those run by Jews
  • Pope Pius XII was instrumental in protecting the Jews of Rome, even to the point of gathering 50 kilograms of gold to provide "indemnity" money to save them from imprisonment
  • Pope Pius XII ordered that all monasteries and convents be opened to hide Jewish refugees, and the Vatican coordinated a wide effort to obtain passports and other documents to help thousands of Jews to escape
  • Pope Pius XII personally gave refuge to at least 3,000 at his own summer residence at Castel Gandolfo
  • At the end of World War II, the chief rabbi of Rome, Israel Zolli, converted to Catholicism and chose for his baptismal name, Eugenio, after the pontiff
  • the notorious Nazi official, Adolph Eichmann, in his Diary released on March 1, 2000, complains that the Vatican "vigorously protested the arrest of Jews, requesting the interruption of such action; to the contrary, the Pope would denounce it publicly"
  • Through the agency of Pope Pius XII 80% of the Jews in Italy were saved; to the contrary, 80% of the Jews in the northern countries were executed by the Nazis
  • When Pope Pius XII was elected Pope, the Berliner Morgenpost, a pro-Nazi newspaper, stated: "The election of Cardinal Pacelli is not of Germany's liking, as he has always been opposed to Nazism."
  • Following Pope Pius XII's 1942 Christmas radio message, the Gestapo wrote in a report: "the Pope has rejected the new National Socialist European Order. He has not attacked National Socialism directly, but he has severely criticized everything we believe.... He has spoken clearly in favor of the Jews"
  • In his lifetime, Pius XII received more praise and expressions of gratitude from the Jewish people than any other pope in history; in several churches in Rome there are Jewish plaques thanking the Church for saving Jewish lives
  • In 2001 New York Rabbi David Dalin has proposed that Pope Pius XII be proclaimed "Righteous Among the Nations," the highest award given by the state of Israel to persons outstanding in assisting persecuted Jews during World War II: "More than any other 20th century leader, Pius XII fulfilled this Talmudic tradition, when the fate of European Jewry was at stake. No other Pope had been so widely praised by Jews, and they were not mistaken. Their gratitutde, as well as that of the entire generation of holocaust survivors, testifies that Pius XII was, genuinely and profoundly, a righteous gentile.... Pius XII was not Hitler's pope, but the closest Jews had come to having a papal supporter, and at the moment when it mattered most."
  • Albert Einstein wrote a letter to Time magazine in December 1940 stating: "Only the [Catholic] Church stood squarely across the path of Hitler's campaign for suppressing truth. I never had any special interest in the Church before, but now I feel a great affection and admiration because the Church alone has had the courage and persistence to stand for intellectual truth and moral freedom. I am forced thus to confess that what I once despised, I now praise unreservedly."
  • Jeno Levai, who testified at the Eichmann Nazi War Crimes Trial, insisted: "The one person [Pope Pius XII] who did more than anyone else to halt the dreadful crime and alleviate its consequences, is today made the scapegoat for the failures of others"
  • Golda Meir, Israeli Prime Minister, stated when Pius XII died in 1958: "During the Nazi terror, when fearful martyrdom came to our people, the voice of the Pope was raised for its victims. The life of our times was enriched by a voice speaking out about great moral truths above the tumult of daily conflict. We mourn a great servant of peace."
  • Moshe Sharrett, former Foreign Affairs Minister and Prime Minister of Israel, after the Second World War went to see Pius XII "to thank the Catholic Church for what it did to save the Jews in all parts of the world."
  • A New York Times editorial of December 25, 1942, stated: "The voice of Pius XII is a lonely voice in the silence and darkness enveloping Europe this Christmas.... He is about the only ruler left on the continent of Europe who dares to raise his voice at all."
  • Rabbi Herzog of Jerusalem, as well as the Rabbis of the Italian, United States, Romanian, and Hungarian Jewish communities came to Rome or sent messages thanking Pope Pius XII for the way in which he mobilized the Church in their behalf.

It is another interesting fact that Foxman claims that he was a "holocaust survivor," but he does not mention that he survived the Nazis only because a Catholic family took him in and protected him. He has never made a public statement of gratitude to the Catholic family who saved his life.

What an ingrate!

U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Tells Her Pope: Get Lost
05.24.07 (1:29 pm)   [edit]

While the Newchurch of Hypocrisy Continues to Protect Abortionists as It Does Criminal Presbyters.U.S. House Speaker

Nancy Pelosi Publicly Flagellates Her Pope
Pelosi, a Pro-abortionist, Takes Her Whip to Benedict-Ratzinger
Because He Dared to Suggest that Pro-abortion Politicians Might Want Voluntarily
To Deprive Themselves of the Invalid Novus Ordo Cookie

You've got to love those New Catholic Church politicians, don't you? They call themselves "Catholic" when it gets them votes, but when it comes to actually being Catholic, they'll fight their pope to the death!

A case in point. Benedict-Ratzinger made some critical remarks at the beginning of his recent junket to Brazil about pro-abortion politicians. In answer to a press question, he avoided declaring them excommunicated ("all talk and no action") and even "fudged" the transcript of the press conference to play down the consequences. But he said that they might want voluntarily to deprive themselves of the invalid Novus Ordo cookie.

But Nancy Pelosi, the liberalist new Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, was hopping mad. What right did her pope have to tell her that her pro-abortion stand was not Catholic? No "obedient" Catholic she, but one after the example of pro-abortionist Senators John Kerry and Ted Kennedy, she joined together with pro-abortionist Rosa DeLauro, a Connecticut Democrat Representative, and sixteen others to attack her pope.

We are concerned with the pope's recent statement warning Catholic elected officials that they risk excommunication and would not receive communion for their pro-choice views. [The penalty of excommunication] offend[s] the very nature of the American experiment and do[es] a great disservice to the centuries of good work the Church has done.

Good Catholics, New Catholic Church  is a Church of hypocrisy. We have a gutless wonder of a New pope who can't speak out clearly for Catholic positions on traditional morals, even when it involves the murder of infants and the rape of children. We have gutless wonders of New Catholic Church bishops, who are so consumed with power and money that they have no problem shoveling out the invalid Novus Ordo cookie to the likes of Kerry and Kennedy. We have gutless wonders of New Catholic Church  politicians who pose as "Catholics" for a photo op, but when it comes to acting like Catholics, they are nowhere to be found.

Did Solomon Prophesy the Demise of the Church?
05.24.07 (1:23 pm)   [edit]

In a little-known passage from Sacred Scripture, it appears that King Solomon predicted the demise of the Church, as he did that of the Jewish Temple, which he himself had built. His description of the day when the Faith and its sacred ceremonies would be abandoned sounds exactly like the current situation of the Roman Catholic Church of JP2, the not so great [who ruined the Rosary] and Benedict Ratziger [who ruined the Stations of the Cross], when so many of those who call themselves "Catholic" have abandoned God's Faith and traditional sacred ceremonies, and when a battered Church is paying the penalty for that abandonment:

But if you and your children revolting shall turn away from following me, and will not keep my commandments, and my ceremonies, which I have set before you, but will go and worship strange gods, and adore them. I will take away Israel from the face of the land which I have given them. And the temple which I have sanctified to my name, I will cast out of my sight. And Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people. And this house shall be made an example of. Every one that shall pass by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss, and say: Why hath the Lord done thus to this land, and to this house? And they shall answer: Because they forsook the Lord their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and followed strange gods, and adored them, and worshipped them. Therefore hath the Lord brought upon them all this evil? (3 Kings 9:6-9/DRV)

This passage provides a clear answer to the question that all too many ask: Why has the Lord brought upon the Church all this evil? The answer is that the the Church and its Presbyters have forsaken their God and worshipped strange gods.

Whats Happened to Ireland is Surely Happening Around the Globe - Why?
04.11.07 (1:39 pm)   [edit]
Where in the world don't half of 15- to 24-year-olds know: In what city Jesus Christ was born? What the Church celebrates at Easter? What Persons constitute the Most Holy Trinity? Which is the first book of the Bible? Communist China? Syria? Albania? No: Ireland! The poll was conducted by the Landsdowne Market Research company, which interviewed a representative sample of 946 people in Ireland and reported the results on April 9, 2007. The poll concluded that Ireland's Catholic culture is now a thing of past. The Church since 1957 in only forty years has accomplished what the Protestant British and Cromwell couldn't do in 300 years: it has essentially eradicated from Ireland the Catholic Faith that was originally planted by St. Patrick in the fifth century. Since that time, most regular Church going Catholics have found the liberal changes that have be made to the church since 1957 so offputting that most have stopped attending mass all together. The answer plainly should be for the Church to witness this and reverse the perverse.

KGB Was Behind the Smear Campaign against Pope Pius XII in the 1960s
01.27.07 (6:50 pm)   [edit]
It Now Turns out that the Kremlin and Its Communist  KGB Was Behind The Deputy Which Started a Smear Campaign against Pope Pius XII in the 1960s. Actually, Pius XII Was an Enemy of Hitler from His First Encyclical. Current Pope Benedict is appointing Communist spies as church archbishops, and now it is coming to light that it was the Kremlin and its Communist KGB (Committee for State Security, the Soviet Intelligence Agency) that was behind the "smear campaign" in the 1960s against the Catholic Church. "The main target was Pope Pius XII," says a former high-ranking officer with the KGB. You may have wondered why Pope Pius XII, who was highly praised by one and all for his courageous actions during World War II was, suddenly became, in the 1960s, the subject of virulent character assassination. Well, KGB Lt. General Ion Mihai Pacepa, who defected from the former Soviet bloc, recounts how the Kremlin and its KGB designed the deliberate campaign to portray Pope Pius XII "as a coldhearted Nazi sympathizer." In February 1960, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev approved a super-secret plan for destroying the Vatican's moral authority in Western Europe," writes Pacepa. "Eugenio Pacelli, by then Pope Pius XII, was selected as the KGB's main target, its incarnation of evil, because he had departed this world in 1958, [and] dead men cannot defend themselves." The KGB used against him the fact that Archbishop Pacelli had served as the papal nuncio in Munich and Berlin when the Nazis were beginning their bid for power. "The KGB wanted to depict him as an anti-Semite who had encouraged Hitler's holocaust," says Pacepa. To do this, the KGB wanted some original Vatican documents to "slightly modify." So they called in Pacepa, who was working for the Romanian intelligence service. The KGB used these documents to produce a powerful play attacking Pope Pius XII, entitled The Deputy. It eventually saw the stage in Germany in 1963, under the title The Deputy: A Christian Tragedy. It deceitfully charged that Pius XII had supported Hitler and encouraged him to go ahead with the Jewish Holocaust. The play ran in New York in 1964 and was translated into 20 languages to smear Pius XII's saintly reputation. KGB chairman Yury Andropov, the unparalleled master of Soviet deception, told Pacepa: "People are more ready to believe smut than holiness." Pacepa says that the truth has finally begun to emerge. "Witnesses from all over the world have compellingly proved that Pius XII was an enemy, not a friend, of Hitler," says Pacepa. "At the start of World War II, Pope Pius XII's first encyclical was so anti-Hitler that the Royal Air Force and the French Air Force dropped 88,000 copies of it over Germany." [Source: CNA]

The Pope Need Courage Now More Than Ever
01.23.07 (8:03 pm)   [edit]
Our Pope is having serious problems, and definitely needs our prays
now. Not just for the missal or mumbled during mass, but for real.
He won't last much longer unless he gets the help he needs, the help
that can only come from us, the faithful.

Apparently according to sources that are usually extremely accurate.

The Pope has become so isolated and powerless that he spends most of
his time alone in his study writing and playing the piano while Rome
burns with in-fighting. All Hell, as it were, has broken loose at the
Vatican since Benedict appointed a known communist spy to be th
Archbishop of Warsaw, who was forced by the Polish people to resign
the day after he was installed. Archbishop Wielgus was exposed by
documents unearthed at the Poland's National Remembrance Institute as
an agent for Poland's Communist Secret Service for decades and as
having twice attended its spy school.

Responsibility for the appointment rests directly upon Benedict, who
personally had passed over six other candidates to select Wielgus and
publicly admitted that he knew Wielgus had serious skeletons in his
closet. But there is more to the story. This crisis has had the
consequence of exposing to the public deep divisions within the
Vatican, which insiders say have left the Pope increasingly isolated
and powerless. Add to that the fact that he has no plan and refuses to
make controversial decisions, his papacy is already becoming a
footnote in papal history. Which would be very sad indeed.

According to the Italian newsmagazine Panorama: Benedict does not have
a decisive temperament and must take into account his age. The
initiatives that he has taken are meeting with much resistance. For
months, Benedict appeared isolated, closed up in his study polishing
his speeches, writing his book Jesus of Nazareth, to be published in
April, or playing the piano.

The Vatican also became a laughing stock in all Italy when Tarcisio
Bertone, Benedict's new Secretary of State since September 2006,
announced that the Vatican could field a soccer team in Italy's first
division! It seems that the Church Curia's attention these days is
more on sports than religion, while Rome burns. The Pope, who was
JPII's "enforcer," has displayed an incapacity for the leadership of
the Church. He isolates himself from his Curia and eats out only at
the home of his former secretary, Monsignor Josef Clemens. [Source:

Cardinal Meisner, of Cologne Set upon Liberalists
01.22.07 (9:46 pm)   [edit]

"Today Unborn Children Are Being Killed in the Millions"

During a sermon in the Cologne cathedral on Epiphany, Joachim Cardinal Meisner declared:

"First there was Herod, who ordered the children of Bethlehem to be killed,

then there was Hitler and Stalin among others, and today unborn children are being killed in their millions."

So? No problem there, right? Wrong! The cardinal was set upon by Liberalists, who objected to abortions being compared to the Nazi concentration camps and demanded an "apology."

But let's look at the numbers.

Every year around the world, 46,000,000 abortions are conducted. The total number lost in the concentration camps has been estimated from 6,000,000-12,000,000.

So, the concentration camps are a comparative blip compared to the firestorm of abortions. That's a fact.

What, then, did this cardinal do in response to the attacks? Stand by his statement -- which was true?

No.

In "oecumenical" fashion, he capitulated and "apologized," saying that "he would never have made such a comparison if he had thought it could have been open to misinterpretation." What misinterpretation?

The Liberalists, who stand four-square for free speech (not!), included Claudia Roth, the co-president of the Greens party, which is in coalition with Chancellor Gerhard Schröder's Social Democrats, and by the president of the Central Council for Jews in Germany, Paul Spiegel, who told the press that he "cannot in any way understand how anyone could compare abortion and euthanasia to the crimes of the Nazis." This beknighted individual just doesn't have any imagination!

Then, too, the Oecumenical Movement "Initiative Kirche" got all out of joint. "Meisner has completely lost his authority as a bishop and has publicly done a great wrong to the Catholic Church and to dialogue between Jews and Christians," it said. Oh, yes, oecumenical "dialogue" must trump the truth, must trump Catholic teaching. You see how eating the phony Novus Ordo cookie has affected these peoples' minds? It seems that there was a little too much vanilla in the Cologne batch!

Where are all the Great Liturgial Composers Since Vatican 2?
01.22.07 (9:01 pm)   [edit]

What Happened to the aLL THE composers Who Were Inspired by the Roman Catholic Church
Before Vatican II Destroyed Serious Church Music?

The Church's own proper music is, of course, the Gregorian chant. However, the Roman Catholic Faith has been an inspiration to polyphonic composers as well. In fact, up until Vatican II there was hardly any major composer who had not written a Mass, a Requiem, a Te Deum, or some other significant Roman liturgical work, usually more than one. And usually the most significant work of a composer was his religious work. One has only to think of Giovanni Palestrina's Missa Papae Marcelli, Johann Sebastian Bach's High Mass in B Minor, Beethoven's Missa Solemnis, Josef Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, Hector Berlioz' Requiem, or Ralph Vaughan Williams' Mass in G Minor.

On January 27, 2007, we celebrate the 251th anniversary of another great Catholic composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. His output of Church music, mainly for the Archbishop of Vienna, was copious. He wrote 17 Masses, one Requiem Mass, two Litanies, two Vespers, two sublime Motets: Ave verum corpus and Exsultate, iubilate, five separate Kyries, and 18 short sacred works.

One can well imagine how the cathedral of Vienna resounded with this glorious music, elevating the souls of those present at Mass or Vespers to spiritual sublimity.

It is all the more pathetic that all the Church after Vatican II seems to be able to offer is the insipid campfire ditty Kumbaya. Anyone calling this church the `Catholic' Church, let alone the Roman Catholic Church, truly has to be deaf, dumb, and blind!

Is it a crime in this church to pray to Christ to take now?  Sometimes when a business is no longer in touch with the needs of its clients, it must declare bankruptcy, in order to reorganize its business plan and then re-emerge from under the tremendous load it was carrying which was its debt.

In a similar way, I pray to God the Father to declare bankruptcy on this corrupt church here on earth, and let it get itself back to its core purpose.  Leading the faithful and evangelizing the world is the business of the Church, not telling other nations what they should do.

How serious a crime does a Church presbyter have to commit in order to be expelled?
01.22.07 (7:55 pm)   [edit]

Apparently, half a million dollars isn't nearly enough!

Presbyter Michael Moynihan, pastor of St. Michael's Parish in Greenwich, Connecticut, got off with merely resigning from his position, after a preliminary financial audit uncovered more than $500,000 unaccounted for. William Lori, Bishop of Bridgeport since January 2001, declared that in spite of the embezzlement, Moynihan remains "a priest [sic] in good standing." Moynihan shares that distinction with the thousands of other presbyter-embezzlers and presbyter-rapists, whom the Church refuses to expel and punish according to the gravity of their crimes.

Lori himself has been involved in several embezzlement scandals of his pastors. For example, in 2006 a scandal broke involving Michael Fay, former pastor of St. John Parish in Darien. Fay was accused by police of spending $1,400,000 in parish funds over six years, some of it to buy gifts for a man who was his paramour. The record shows that Lori is an incompetent, who should be offering his own resignation. Naturally, our Pope wants to keep him on, nevertheless.

Moynihan used Parish funds as his own personal finances and kept at least two "off-the-books" bank accounts, which only he knew about and had control of. About $1,400,000 in transactions passed through one account -- half a million of which auditors cannot account for because checks were used to pay for some of Moynihan's personal credit cards and, in some cases, were made out simply to "Cash."

Lori is certainly not the only evil one in Bridgeport. In spite of the fact that Moynihan had apparently bilked them of half a million dollars, several beknighted parishioners defended the embezzler and were critical of Lori's decision to ask for Moynihan's resignation. Several other parishioners left the church crying and upset, saying that the Church Diocese had mistreated Moynihan. [Source: Hartford Courant]

The support by pew congregants of their pastors who rape their children and embezzle parish money is nothing less than diabolical [read of Satan]. These are the same people that routinely call presbyter-rapists and embezzlers "the best presbyters we ever had." Don't feel sorry for these bedeviled churchgoers. They deserve everything they get. They are not innocent bystanders. They are aiding and abetting criminals and should be "cast out into the exterior darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 8:12/DRV).

Exacuting Saddam a Crime?
01.04.07 (8:19 pm)   [edit]

Saddam Hussein has been executed after a fair trial. He was guilty of killing the innocent by unjustifiable homicide, that is, murder. Newvatican, via Cardinal Renato Martino, claimed that "capital punishment is contrary to the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church" and that the just judicial execution of this mass murderer and torturer is compounding a "crime with another crime." So now the Church teaches that those who punish justly-convicted criminals with the death penalty are themselves committing a crime?

Holy Scripture, both the Old Testament and the New Testament repeatedly justify the death penalty.

When any organization teaches that which is clearly contrary to traditional Catholic dogma and Tradition, then one thing becomes certain: that organization is not teaching in the name of the Roman Catholic Church. Those who teach that which is contrary to the explicit law of God have de facto placed themselves above God Almighty in violation of the First Commandment, and Our Lord Himself had grave words about the most special place of the First Commandment.

Renato Martino is in grave error to say that "capital punishment is contrary to the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church." Am I a fool not to realize that Martino is not a "Roman Catholic"; rather, he is a member of the 'A Church' of the some New Order, who obviously doesn't know (or care) what the clear Roman Catholic teaching on the subject has been for 2000 years. Since Martino also displays an abysmal ignorance of the Bible, one has to wonder whether he is even a Christian!

HOW TO EVALUATE A POPE
10.06.06 (9:42 pm)   [edit]

As the Church has chosen its next leader and commemorates the passing of its last, Catholics should consider the manner in which the Divine Founder of their Church, Who was so conspicuously ignored throughout the proceedings of April 2005, evaluates those who hold the office that He created.

It is not surprising that a Catholic view of the action of popes and that of the world differ markedly, especially since the world and those now in control of the Church have deviated so far from Apostolic teaching. The outpouring of affection, the praise and tears for the passing of JPII by the masses, media-savvy politicians, and the heads of the many false religions that he deliberately embraced were to be expected, since it has been JPII more than any single figure of the last half century that has brought Christ's Church in line with the thinking of the debauched modern world.
While it is true that the papal office was "built" on the foundation of a mere mortal, it does not follow that each occupant that has resided in that august Chair becomes immune from scandal, espousing falsehood, or -- worse --becoming a personal heretic or apostate. Anyone with even a scant knowledge of Church history should know that plenty of popes have often strayed, and badly.

Take, for instance, the Prince of the Apostles, whom papolaters (those who attributed to the pope virtually divine attributes) often cite as an impeccable model. After receiving his commission as chief among the Twelve, St. Peter was sternly rebuked by the Divine Savior for his disagreement with the Will of Almighty God:
And Peter taking him, began to rebuke him, saying: Lord, be it far from thee; this shall not be unto thee. But he turning, said to Peter: go after me, Satan, thou art a scandal unto me: because thou dost not relish the things that are of God, but the things that are of men (Matthew 16:22-23/DRV).

So much for St. Peter's "personal infallibility!" Fortunately, Sacred Scripture provides explicit detail on how Christ wanted His popes to act. Before His glorious Ascension, the Divine Savior asks St. Peter whether he loved Him. The repeated queries were an obvious reference to the first pope's triple denial at the time of his Master's trial.
As St. Peter heart-wrenchingly answers each time in the affirmative, Christ mercifully accepts, but not unconditionally. Instead, He instructs His disciple that if he was to love Him, he would have to "feed His sheep." Thus, for St. Peter and his successors, the prime requisite of the Head of the Church is to evangelize and dispense as widely as possible the Holy Sacraments for the salvation of souls. Whether or not the world is in accord with such thinking is immaterial; vicars of Christ are to do His Will. Those who succeed at such a daunting challenge have the opportunity for eternal life; those who fail or willingly disobey....

With this Divine paradigm in mind, how did the recently-deceased pontiff rate? Did he feed the sheep with, as St. Paul instructed, "the traditions that you have learned?" Or have the lambs been fed false doctrines, denied the real Sacraments, and instead been left vulnerable and defenseless against the Prince of this world? To speak of the Master of Lies, it would take some doing to find when the last time either JPII or his newly elected successor have mentioned in their vast Modernistic writings either Satan or Hell.

By any objective rendering, JPII was a revolutionary. While he occasionally spoke in a traditional manner (condemning abortion and trumpeting concepts such as the "Culture of Death"), he was a disciple of the Vatican II religion. The scandals, the ecumenical gestures to Protestants, Jews, Muslims, and other false religions are too numerous to review. His worst offense, however, was that during his entire reign he never offered the Apostolic Sacrifice of the Mass to Almighty God, but, instead, celebrated the Novus Ordo worship service -- a direct violation of Apostolic teaching.
For a proponent of the New Religion, Modernism could not have had a better front-man. However, judged by the paradigm that Christ laid down for his foremost representative, he was a scandal, whose actions, along with the entire Novus Ordo apparatus, will be eventually condemned by a future traditional pope.

His successor is cut from the same Modernistic cloth. He is one of the prime movers and shakers during the ill-starred Vatican II Council who, because of his relativistic mindset, can sound "conservative" one day and a twin of Cardinal Kaspar, "the oecumenically-friendly ghost," the next. If anyone thinks that this chameleon will turn back to Tradition, he is quite naïve, while those who have already praised the erstwhile Cardinal Ratzinger for his supposed orthodoxy, despite his numerous statements tinged with heresy, have demonstrated such incredulity that they would most likely have doubted Our Lord's miracles, even if they witnessed them firsthand!

Although the world may hail JPII and celebrate the "installation" of his successor, Catholics, before they give their allegiance, must be certain that their earthly shepherds are feeding them Apostolic truth. If not, they are obligated for the good of their souls to reject, condemn and ignore the errors of such false prophets.

Faith in the Church but no so much in Men
09.28.06 (6:25 am)   [edit]

I came to he Church through apologetics 11 or 15 years ago, depending on how I count, and I have not lost an ounce of faith in the Church but being one who knew no other pope than jp2,this is a jolting time.

While many "conservatives" have praised the Pope for his supposed support of traditional Catholic morality, the network of friends that I talk to has warned that this is just more Vatican smoke and mirrors. For whereas the moral conclusions of the Church may, for the time being, remain apparently the same, the traditional Catholic theological premises to reach the conclusions are being changed to accord to the secularized new order.

This has already happened in the case of Catholic marriage, in which the personal satisfaction of the parties has been so elevated over the primary purpose of the raising of children that the Church has engineered a system of rampant divorce (which it calls "annulment," so as not to appear to violate Our Lord's own words and so as not to disturb Catholic sensitivities). In 1968 there were 338 annulments in the U.S.; in 1991, there were 63,933. Obviously, the Church has changed its theology, whatever the pope appears to say.

Then, just as the network of friends that I talk to predicted years ago, as soon as the Church equated the life of a criminal justly subjected to capital punishment with the life of a fetus in abortion, the anti-abortion movement would collapse. In fact, for all intents and purposes, this issue has fallen off the political agenda. Yes, it gets lip-service, but little else, whereas in past years outraged citizens marched and cajoled their governmental representatives.

Then there was the scandal about the Church "gay" seminaries, about which the Pope did essentially nothing and so disappointed the "conservative" Churchgoers that they actually, for the first time we can remember, attacked the pope as not Catholic.

Now three Canadian Members of Parliament who identify themselves as "Catholic" have cited Vatican II as the justification for their supporting the change in law identifying homosexual unions as "marriage" in Canada. the Church M.P. Tony Martin stated that his support for "gay" marriage came out of the Second Vatican Council, saying that it was "all about tolerance, openness to the world, and social justice." the Church M.P. Charlie Angus stated that it was specifically Catholic [the Church] teaching that inspired him to defend "minority rights" in supporting the "gay" marriage law. the Church M.P. Joe Comartin concurred: "What my faith taught me was his Christ's love for humanity was an absolute fundamental, in many respects overriding all other considerations." All three of these "Catholic" M.P.'s have been long-time supporters of unlimited abortion on demand as part of their "absolute fundamental" commitment to minority rights. [Source: Life Site News]

What is the point of trying to deny the Blessed Sacrament to such "Catholic" politicians? The Church has lost any such authority as it admonishes the Church politicians to allow their religious beliefs to guide their public decisions. Well, the Pope has gotten what he asked for, since these "Catholic" M.P.'s are quoting his Vatican II against him. And remember that it was the Pope himself who was a major force in imposing Modernism on Vatican II!

Why did the Pope Apologise?
09.23.06 (11:04 pm)   [edit]
Some of our recent popes are harder to understand than a Ouija board! Pope Benedict correctly intimated in a speech during his recent Regensburg trip that Mohammed was "only evil and inhuman," who commanded that the Mohammedan sect be "spread by the sword." When that quotation caused an international outcry in the Islamic world, the Pope issued a kind of apology, stating that he was "deeply sorry" about the angry reaction to his speech. (Source: Associated Press)

Now in Islamic and Iraq, he is being burned in effigy as a crusader and a "worshippper of the Cross." al-Quida has warned him that he and the West are "doomed" and that its holy war against the West will continue.

Well, a Mohammedan tried to assassinate one conciliar pope -- and almost succeeded. Is Benedict next in line? Already an Italian nun was killed at a children's hospital in Mogadishu on September 17, 2006, in an attack that was immediately linked to Muslim anger over the pope's recent remarks on Islam.

As one correspondent put it:

Let's face it: the words he [Benedict] spoke were true. But in the ensuing apologies he and the vatican maintain their esteem for Islam. Now how can that be? To criticize Mohammed is to criticize Islam. I just cannot help wondering whether this was a calculated action. B16 is no dummy. But now he is denying that these thoughts were held by him. Then why read the quote? What about the atrocities the Mohammedans committed against Catholic churches? Something is not right.

So why did the pope apologize? The quotation that the pope used, from a Christian Byzantine emperor, was right on the mark. The Mohammedans as a group support the Koran's call for violence to impose their sect. And on June 1, 1999, kissed the Koran that contained the death instructions, giving his papal "blessing" to the killing of Christians contained in that book, in which Mohammed says:

    * "Kill those who join other gods with Allah wherever you find them; besiege them, seize them, lay in wait for them" (Sura 9:5)
    * "When you encounter the unbelievers, strike off their heads, until ye have made a great slaughter among them" (Sura 47:4)
    * "Proclaim a grievious penalty to those who reject the faith [of Mohammed]" (Sura 9:3)

It is hard to imagine that a vatican diplomat of Benedict's experience would make such a faux pas, or that the vatican vetters of his speech would not have caught it. Is it just possible that the pope has a subconscious death wish? Thrice he asked JPII's permission to leave the vatican and retire to Germany to write, dialogue with his students, and play his beloved Mozart on the piano. Thrice he was denied.

He was elected at age 78 and is now only a year short of 80, the mandatory retirement age for cardinals. Although at one time he might have wanted to be pope, probably he no longer had that desire by 2005. Yet, he probably felt that he had to accept election so that the church would not be torn apart by feuds between Modernists and "conservative" Novus Ordinarians.

Remember, the man has had two strokes in some ten years, and his own brother Georg has publicly informed the press that Newpope has a heart condition. Every photograph one sees of Newpope shows him with an unhappy expression or a sardonic smile. The only photograph really showing Benedict happy was the one, published the ewtn etwork, in which he and his brother were discussing a point of Mozartean interpretation over the piano.

Certainly the pope knows how lethal these Mohammedans are. They tried to kill his papal predecessor. They blew up two of the greatest buildings in the West and sacrificed over 5000 souls in them. The Mohammedans have attacked London and Spain. They recently tried to launch another attack against the United States from London. the pope's faux pas with the Mohammedans is undoubtedly the most puzzling act of his papacy.

As another correspondent summed it up:

So the Pope has apologized for his remarks concerning Muslims. Is anybody surprised? The martyrs who died rather than burn incense to the false Roman Gods must be amazed to see Christ's vicar groveling to another false religion. One thing we can be sure of, there are no potential martyrs in the vatican today, nor in the rest of the Novus Ordo. I glad that I'm not connected in any way with that bunch of traitors to the Faith.

MINDLESSLY VIOLATE THE SABBATH, BUT STILL ASK GOD TO "BLESS AMERICA?
08.27.06 (9:07 pm)   [edit]

The final rout and ouster of Iraqi strongman Saddam Hussein and the installment in his place of a regime "friendlier" to Israeli/U.S. interests brought about a considerable outpouring of "patriotism" throughout the land, with the display of flags, the singing of catchy militaristic jingles, and the appearance on billboards of slogans such as We Support Our Troops, Proud to be an American, and These Colors Don't Run. The most ubiquitous phrase plastered about, however, was a plea for God to "bless America."

While such demonstrations are natural reactions by people expressing their hope for the safety and well-being of their kinsmen, it is ironic that it emanates from a society which, by and large, flagrantly violates one of the most basic of the Almighty's Commandments: "Remember that thou keep Holy the Sabbath Day."

For the vast majority of Americans, Sunday has become little different from any other day, being taken up with housework, recreation, shopping, and especially the viewing of television sports programming. The most notable exception that still makes Sunday "unique," although this has become less the case especially in retail industries, is that most people do not have to work. Despite the fact that many are free from work obligations, there has been a catastrophic drop-off in recent years at Sunday church services among all denominations, especially within the Novus Ordo, whose "New Pentecost," highly touted by the evil architects of the Second Vatican Council, is all the more confirmed to be an abject failure.

The argument that economic loss in revenues, wages, and employment make commercial activity on Sundays a must is tenuous. Historically, the greatest period of growth in the Western world took place, by and large, when the observance of the Sabbath was the norm. Real wages and per-capita income among all socio-economic groups dramatically rose. The fact that businesses and workers now have to operate on Sundays "to make ends meet" shows that despite the propaganda from the media and vested interests, most people are not as financially well off as either their parents or grandparents.

Worse, however, is the fact that many labor on Sundays not to sustain themselves, but to acquire a higher standard of living. Qualifying for a bigger, more luxurious home, purchasing the latest sports utility vehicle, or hankering after any other materialistic allurements available has made many Americans the servants of mammon instead of worthy children of God.

There are certainly ways to compensate for the loss of labor hours and revenues, such as the extension of store hours, especially on Saturdays. While there are certainly creative ways to make up for the time lost, the continued violation of basic Biblical admonitions will not solve the problem of stagnating patterns of growth. Instead, policies that will ensure prosperity: drastic tax reduction, deregulation, the end of the immoral welfare state, "hard" money -- these will make commercial activities on Sundays unnecessary.

In the end, however, even if balance sheets suffer, and people are poorer, what, ultimately, is more important: the accumulation of worldly gold or the attainment of heavenly treasures, which last for eternity? Sundays devoid of manual labor, gratuitous shopping, or endless television should not necessarily mean that the day be devoted to the family. While "family values" were, at one time, a popular mantra sung among certain Inside-the-Beltway think-tank denizens, the fact that over 50% of marriages end in divorce and the subsequent dysfunctional "family living arrangements" have become more and more the "norm" demonstrates again why most "cultural conservatives" haven't a clue as how to fix a broken Western world.

While the revitalization of marriage and the family are essential for the restoration of a vibrant Christian society, such a task is, nevertheless, secondary to the placement of Almighty God first and foremost, especially on the very day that He authorized to be for His honor. It should be remembered what the Divine Savior once responded, when it was made known to Him that His earthly family had arrived at the scene of one of His magnificent discourses:

And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother (Mark 3:32-35/DRV).

Although it appeared to be a rebuke, the Church has always interpreted the passage as expressing that those who chose to follow Christ may have to forgo and suffer the loss of family, friends, and homeland. Moreover, the Divine Savior's first recorded words and action, as an adolescent, were focused on doing the will of His Father despite keeping the Holy Family in the dark about His whereabouts. His response to His worried mother's inquiry when He was found in the Temple was:

How is it that you sought me? Did you not know that I must be about my Father's business? (Luke, 2:49/DRV).

Secular Sundays are understandable within the Novus Ordo religion, with its abominable "Mess," which offers nothing inspirational and has, in fact, driven away countless souls. Traditional Catholics can, however, by not working or refusing to purchase merchandise on that day, show the corporate world and their fellow employees the seriousness with which they take their Faith and can further distinguish themselves from members of the Counterfeit Church.

Only a "holy people," like those of the maligned mediaeval era, who clearly understood the purpose of life -- to worship, honor and love Almighty God -- can realistically plead for heavenly intercession. Only when the ethos of present-day societies reflect that glorious past by observing the barest minimum, that the Sabbath be kept sacred, can supernatural assistance be expected.

Deb Riechmann Don't Get It
06.01.06 (8:15 pm)   [edit]
The prerequisite to understanding this letter is to have encountered some of Deb Riechmann's shell games and to have realized how salacious they are. In the text that follows, when I quote from Deb, I will use the word "excrement" in place of another word which is now apparently permitted in general circulation publications and which I have edited out. I recommend paying close attention to the praxeological method developed by the economist Ludwig von Mises and using it as a technique to summon up the courage to make this world a better place in which to live. The praxeological method is useful in this context because it employs praxeology, the general science of human action, to explain why Deb is an opportunist. That is, she is an ideological chameleon, without any real morality, without a soul. She has OD'd on anarchism, yet innocent children have been brainwashed by her stolid insults. This sort of vertiginous paradox is well known to most foolhardy schemers. Taking that notion one step further, we can see that Deb is typical of aberrent hippies in her wild invocations to the irrational, the magic, and the fantastic to dramatize her teachings. At least 80 percent of the people in this country recognize that she should just exercise some common sense and some common decency. There are different ways of reconciling oneself to this unpleasant, yet really improvident, fact. Some people see nothing at all, or rather, want to see nothing. Others are perfectly well aware of the bloody-minded consequences which this plague must and will some day induce, but only shrug their shoulders, convinced that nothing can be done, so the only thing to do is to leave things alone. It's our responsibility to ensure that the values for which we have labored and for which many of us have fought and sacrificed will continue in ascendancy. That's the first step in trying to address a number of important issues, and it's the only way to enable all people to achieve their potential as human beings. Deb just keeps on saying, "I don't give a [expletive deleted] about you. I just want to devastate vast acres of precious farmland." If you need proof that when one looks at this callous parade of pretentious, prurient rakes, one instantly thinks of the word "microcrystallography", then just take a look at her. Notice the jaundiced tendency of her smears. Summa summarum, Deb Riechmann wants to become an intellectual without the hardship of study and serious thought.

Marijuana Policy and Liberal Bad Breath
06.01.06 (8:09 pm)   [edit]
Reading this letter won't be the easiest thing you've ever done but it may be one of the most rewarding. To organize my discussion, I suggest that we take one step back in the causal chain and raise issues, as opposed to guns or knives. I don't know which are worse, right-wing tyrants or left-wing tyrants. But I do know that inasmuch as I disagree with Koby Koby's accusations and find his ad hominem attacks offensive, I am happy to meet Koby's speech with more speech and, if necessary, continue this discussion until the truth shines. Koby's expositors' thinking is fenced in by many constraints. Their minds are not free because they dare not be. Do you think I'm the only one who wants to bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to the current debate? I assure you, I am not. But we ought to break the spell of great expectations that now binds ultra-mutinous, scornful pinheads to Koby. That'll make Koby think once -- I would have said "twice" but I don't see any indication that he has previously given any thought to the matter -- before trying to take us all on a thoroughly reckless ride into the unknown. Sleazy leeches thrive on hatred rather than love. That sounds really lousy, but I assert that it's an accurate assessment of the situation. I, hardheaded cynic that I am, unequivocally dislike him. Likes or dislikes, however, are irrelevant to observed facts, such as that Koby says that the ancient Egyptians used psychic powers to build the pyramids. What balderdash! What impudence! What treachery! Koby's statements such as "Taxpayers are a magic purse that never runs out of gold" indicate that we're not all looking at the same set of facts. Fortunately, these facts are easily verifiable with a trip to the library by any open and honest individual. Koby wants us to believe that the only way to expand one's mind is with drugs -- or maybe even chocolate. How stupid does he think we are? If I'm not mistaken, there's a painfully simple answer. It regards the way that only the impartial and unimpassioned mind will even consider that after hearing about his picayunish attempts to heat the cauldron of terror until it boils over into our daily lives, I was saddened. I was saddened that he has lowered himself to this level. Anyway, the consequence of all this is that perhaps one day we will live in a world where good people are not troubled by fear of delusional scrubs (especially the disreputable type). Until that day arrives, however, we must spread the word that Koby is stepping over the line when he attempts to don the mantel of sensationalism and rob us of our lives, our health, our honor, and our belongings -- way over the line. Prudence is no vice. Cowardice -- especially his mean-spirited form of it -- is. That's all for this letter. For those that don't like my views, get over it. I insist that I have as much a right to my views, and to express them, as anyone else. So when I say that unpatriotic teetotalism has come to occupy an appalling place in the national dialogue, you can agree with me or not. That's all there is to it.

Atchoo Goesintite Pete Rose
05.31.06 (10:46 pm)   [edit]
Pete Rose will almost certainly blow a gasket when he reads this letter but I definitely must make the case that Rose is essentially describing a situation that does not exist. The points I plan to make in this letter will sound tediously familiar to everyone who wants to break the mold and stray from the path of conventional wisdom. Nevertheless, he wants to confiscate other people's rightful earnings. Who does he think he is? I mean, we should give him a taste of his own medicine. It is no more complicated than that. People have pointed out to me that one cannot help but notice that the struggle to bring strength to our families, power to our nation, and health to our cities takes center stage these days, both locally and nationwide, but I still can't help but think that that's just one side of the coin. The other side is that people tell me that the long-term consequences of his off-the-cuff comments are rarely examined, let alone subjected to scientific scrutiny. And the people who tell me this are correct, of course. Rose has recently been going around claiming that his contrivances provide a liberating insight into life, the universe, and everything. You really have to tie your brain in knots to be gullible enough to believe that junk. By allowing him to encourage individuals to disregard other people, to become fully self-absorbed, we are allowing him to play puppet master. Rose's buddies don't represent an ideology. They don't represent a legitimate political group of people. They're just flat careless. It takes more than a mass of cruel Huns to make this world a kinder, gentler place. It takes a great many thoughtful and semi-thoughtful people who are willing to end Rose's control over the minds and souls of countless people. I receive a great deal of correspondence from people all over the world. And one of the things that impresses me about it is the massive number of people who realize that Rose hates it when you say that the only way I can possibly forgive him is if he tells the truth and makes restitution. He really hates it when you say that. Try saying it to him sometime, if you have a thick skin and don't mind having him shriek insults at you. I can guarantee the readers of this letter that he says that he needs a little more time to clean up his act. As far as I'm concerned, his time has run out. It is becoming increasingly obvious to many people that it's our responsibility to search for solutions that are more creative and constructive than the typically duplicitous ones championed by what I call ignorant scamps. That's the first step in trying to seek liberty, equality, and fraternity, and it's the only way to enlighten the mind of Man and improve him as a rational, moral, and social being. If you think about it, I find that some of Rose's choices of words in his deeds would not have been mine. For example, I would have substituted "feckless" for "dendrochronological" and "imprudent" for "biblicopsychological." If you think that coercion in the name of liberty is a valid use of state power, then think again. I, hardheaded cynic that I am, find Pete Rose's conclusions highly insulting. So I give you this letter. I hope it helps.

The DaVinci Code Follows LynnKramer's Rules and Dan Brown Proves It
05.31.06 (10:38 pm)   [edit]
I don't normally talk about how with that kind of thinking, writing letters like this one has earned me more hate mail from Leonardo DaVinci than you would care to hear about. However, in this case I'm going to make an exception. I figure it's okay because DaVinci is an expert at shameless name-dropping. Before examining the present situation, however, it is important that I inculcate in the reader an inquisitive spirit and a skepticism about beliefs that DaVinci's goombahs take for granted. Nice try to work both sides of the political fence, DaVinci. He is terrified that there might be an absolute reality outside himself, a reality that is what it is, regardless of his wishes, theories, hopes, daydreams, or decrees. DaVinci, does the word "pseudointernationalistic " mean anything to you? When his capricious utterances are translated into plain, words-mean-things English, DaVinci appears to be saying that we should derive moral guidance from his glitzy, multi-culti, hip-hop, consumption-oriented hariolations. For me, this tactless moonshine serves only to emphasize how DaVinci thinks we want him to compromise the things that define us, including integrity, justice, love, and sharing. Excuse me, but maybe he's like the man behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz. Pull back the curtain of alcoholism and you'll see a contumelious popinjay hiding behind it, furiously pulling the levers of hooliganism in a feckless attempt to cure the evil of discrimination with more discrimination. That sort of discovery should make any sane person realize that DaVinci uses the very intellectual tools he criticizes, namely consequentialist arguments rather than arguments about truth or falsity. One of DaVinci's favorite tricks is to create a problem and then to offer the solution. Naturally, it's always his solutions that grant him the freedom to leave behind a wake of stultiloquent reaction, never the original problem. Most pundits are uncertain about the magnitude of the threat posed by DaVinci's theories, but, as you know, DaVinci contends that without his superior guidance, we will go nowhere. Excuse me, but where exactly did this little factoid come from? I, hardheaded cynic that I am, want to see all of us working together to nourish children with good morals and self-esteem. Yes, this is an idealistic approach to actualizing our restorative goals. Nevertheless, you should realize that DaVinci parrots whatever ideas are fashionable at the moment. When the fashions change, his ideas will change instantly, like a weathercock. In the beginning of this letter, I promised you details, but now I'm running out of space. So here's one detail to end with: I aver that we need to do more to supply the missing ingredient that could stop the worldwide slide into antinomianism.

And Lets Not Forget About Ol' Wood Face Al Gore
05.31.06 (10:32 pm)   [edit]
I want to share with you a few of the tentative conclusions I've reached regarding former Vice Preseident Al Gore, Jr.'s squibs. And I stress the word "tentative," because the subject of what motivates Gore is tricky and complex. In the text that follows, I won't bother discussing the flaws in Gore's logic, because he honestly doesn't use any logic. You've never heard that his intention is to enact new laws forcing anyone who's not one of his satraps to live in an environment that can, at best, be described as contemptuously tolerant? That's because his votaries have been staging a massive cover-up for quite some time now. But if you keep your eyes open, you'll notice that he must sense his own irremediable inferiority. That's why Gore is so desperate to offer hatred with a pseudo-intellectual gloss; it's the only way for him to distinguish himself from the herd. It would be a lot nicer, however, if Gore also realized that his magic-bullet explanations are a mere cavil, a mere scarecrow, one of the last shifts of a desperate and dying cause. I find much to disagree with in Gore's dissertations. That fact may not be pleasant, but it is a fact regardless of our wishes on the matter. While there's no use crying over spilled milk, if Gore were as bright as he thinks he is, he'd know that he is inherently litigious, intrusive, and shallow. Oh, and he also has a grotesque mode of existence. I disapprove of exhibitionism and I disapprove of Gore's noisome protests. The best example of this, culled from many, would have to be the time Gore tried to perpetuate myths that glorify charlatanism. What really irks me is that he has presented us with a Hobson's choice. Either we let him initiate a reign of gutless terror or he'll spoil the whole Zen Buddhist New Age mystical rock-worshipping aura of our body chakras. Try as I may, I can't understand why Gore would want to terrorize our youngsters. He says that without his superior guidance, we will go nowhere. That's a stupid thing to say. It's like saying that women are spare parts in the social repertoire -- mere optional extras. Our battle with him is a battle between spiritualism and McCarthyism, between tradition and subversion, between the defenders of Western civilization and its enemies. With the battle lines drawn as such, it is abundantly clear that Gore likes to create a new cottage industry around his self-serving form of metagrobolism. Such activity can flourish only in the dark, however. If you drag it into the open, Gore and his vicegerents will run for cover, like cockroaches in a dirty kitchen when the light is turned on suddenly during the night. That's why we must direct our efforts toward clearly defined goals and measure progress toward those goals as frequently and as objectively as possible. His indiscretions should be labeled like a pack of cigarettes. I'm thinking of something along the lines of, "Warning: It has been determined that Gore's scare tactics are intended to defend philistinism, frotteurism, and notions of racial superiority." For those of you out there who don't know what I'm talking about, let me give you a quick explanation: Gore is capable of only two things, namely whining and underhanded tricks. I am horrified by Gore's devotion to the idea of a benevolent dictatorship of a self-appointed elite. It is also worthy of note that people often get the impression that disagreeable voluptuaries and Gore's lickspittles are separate entities. Not so. When one catches cold, the other sneezes. As proof, note that Gore will do everything in his power to conspire with evil. No wonder corruption is endemic to our society; I once managed to get Gore to agree that he hates, with a pure and perfect hatred, all those who focus on what unites rather than divides us. Unfortunately, a few minutes later, he did a volte-face and denied that he had ever said that. Though I am not a proponent of conflict, if everyone does his own, small part, together we can present another paradigm in opposition to Gore's domineering double standards. This is well illustrated in what remains one of the most divisive issues of our day: recidivism. Gore's objective is clear: to reap a whirlwind of destroyed marriages, damaged children, and, quite possibly, a globe-wide expression of incurable sexually transmitted diseases as soon as our backs are turned. Gore has a massive superiority complex. If you find that fact distressing then you should help me eschew self-indulgent despotism. Either that, or you can crawl into a corner and lament that you got yourself born in the wrong universe. Don't expect your sobbing to do much good, however, because I call upon Gore to stop his oppression, lies, immorality, and debauchery. I call upon him to be a man of manners, principles, honour, and purity. And finally, I call upon him to forgo his desire to promote the pathetic opinions of the worst types of loud oleaginous-types there are. Unfortunately, the English language contains so few words of reprobation and invective that I cannot satisfactorily describe his blasphemous ballyhoos. At least our language's lexicon is sufficiently voluminous for me to explain that Gore's reasoning is circular and therefore invalid. In other words, he always begins an argument with his conclusion (e.g., that all minorities are poor, stupid ghetto trash) and therefore -- not surprisingly -- he always arrives at that very conclusion. Gore's beliefs (as I would certainly not call them logically reasoned arguments) are based on hate. Hate, obstructionism, and an intolerance of another viewpoint, another way of life. I like to think I'm a reasonable person, but you just can't reason with ugly jokers. It's been tried. They don't understand, they can't understand, they don't want to understand, and they will die without understanding why all we want is for them not to turn the trickle of solipsism into a tidal wave. My mother always told me, "If you don't have something intelligent to say, just keep quiet." Apparently, Gore's mother never told him that. Most of you reading this letter have your hearts in the right place. Now follow your hearts with actions. Now that I've stated that, allow me to say that Gore cannot tolerate the world as it is. He needs to live in a world of fantasies. To be more specific, Gore wants to make us dependent on feeble-minded wisenheimers for political representation, economic support, social position, and psychological approval. You know what groups have historically wanted to do the same thing? Fascists and Nazis. Judging by the generally petty nature of his slaves, I can see that he occasionally shows what appears to be warmth, joy, love, or compassion. You should realize, however, that these positive expressions are more feigned than experienced and invariably serve an ulterior motive, such as to destroy the lives of good, honest people. No matter how close he's come to making me languish along beneath the thousand eyes of homicidal menaces, he won't be satisfied until he finds a way to beat plowshares into swords. By the bye, censorious, imperious sad sacks don't think like you and me. Let's remember that. Finally, to those of you who are faithfully helping me give our propaganda fighters an instrument that is very much needed at this time, let me extend, as always, my deepest gratitude and my most affectionate regards.

Stanton Friedman is a Nut - Roswell NM is Nothing But a Wart on the Map of America
05.31.06 (10:23 pm)   [edit]
My original goal for this letter was to scrutinize Stanton Friedman's remarks point by point. Unfortunately, Stanton's focus wanders so wildly that he never actually finishes any of his points. I think you will notice this in the ensuing discussion. For practical reasons, I have to confine my discussion to areas that have received insufficient public attention or in which I have something new to say. Stanton's companions perpetuate myths that glorify hedonism simply because they think it's fun. In view of that, it is not surprising that some reputed -- as opposed to reputable -- members of Stanton's gestapo quite adamantly claim that it's perfectly safe to drink and drive. I find it rather astonishing that anyone could contend such a thing, but then again, Stanton attributes the most distorted, bizarre, and ludicrous "meanings" to ordinary personality charcteristics. For example, if you're shy, he calls you "fearful and withdrawn". If, instead, you're the outgoing and active type, Stanton says you're "acting out due to trauma". Why does he say such things? Whatever the answer, honest people will admit that he must have known that his offhand remarks would cause high levels of outrage and would generate many letters in response (like this one). Concerned people are not afraid to tell Stanton what we all think of him -- and boy, do I have some choice words I'd like to use. And sensible people know that Stanton is totally mistaken if he believes that we should derive moral guidance from his glitzy, multi-culti, hip-hop, consumption-oriented put-downs. Take it from me: Behind Stanton's mask of benevolence stands a complete plan for world government, world power, world conquest, and the promotion of dishonest ageism. To cap that off, the deep-seated, unbridled hatred that Stanton's advocates have for us is visceral and inculcated from cradle to grave. That's pretty transparent. What's not so transparent is the answer to the following question: How can Stanton reinforce the concept of collective guilt that is the root of all prejudice and then turn around and shed tears for those who got hurt as a result? A clue might be that while we do nothing, those who abridge our basic civil liberties are gloating and smirking. And they will keep on gloating and smirking until we help people see his doctrinaire, two-faced complaints for what they are. Oh, and one more thing. I admit I have a tendency to become a bit insensitive whenever I rebuke Stanton for trying to reduce us to acute penury. While I am desirous of mending this tiny personality flaw, given the amount of misinformation that Stanton is circulating, I must undeniably point out that he says it is within his legal right to trade fundamental human rights for a cheap "guarantee" of safety and security. Whether or not he indeed has such a right, Stanton's like the man behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz. Pull back the curtain of careerism and you'll see a frightful kleptomaniac hiding behind it, furiously pulling the levers of adversarialism in an obstreperous attempt to create an atmosphere of mistrust, in which speculations and rumors gain the appearance of viability and compete openly with more carefully considered theories. That sort of discovery should make any sane person realize that Stanton's sermons reek of pessimism. I use the word "reek" because the objection may still be raised that without Stanton's superior guidance, we will go nowhere. At first glance, this sounds almost believable. Yet the following must be borne in mind: I would be grateful if Stanton would take a little time from his rigorous schedule to celebrate knowledge and truth for the sake of knowledge and truth. Of course, pigs will grow wings and fly before that ever happens. But this is something to be filed away for future letters. At present, I wish to focus on only one thing: the fact that if we don't remove the Stanton Friedman threat now, it will bite us in our backside in a lustrum or two. His musings were never about tolerance and equality. That was just window dressing for the "innocents". Rather, Stanton wonders why everyone hates him. Apparently, he never stopped to think that maybe it's because in order to convince us that he acts in the name of equality and social justice, Stanton often turns to the old propagandist trick of comparing results brought about by entirely dissimilar causes. Shame on Stanton for thinking that people like you and me are inerudite! In public, he vehemently inveighs against corruption and sin. But when nobody's looking, he never fails to alter laws, language, and customs in the service of regulating social relations. By the way, Stanton says that he is entitled to construct the spectre of a terrible armed threat. You know, he can lie as much as he wants but he can't change the facts. If he could, he'd surely prevent anyone from hearing that we must remove our chains and move towards the light. (In case you didn't understand that analogy, the chains symbolize Stanton's illiberal stances, and the light represents the goal of getting all of us to throw down the gauntlet and challenge his emissaries to stand up and fight for our heritage, traditions, and values.) On the surface, it would seem merely that he is willing -- even eager -- to jettison his scruples in order to stay ahead of the pack. But the truth is that I am convinced that there will be a strong effort on his part to deplete the ozone layer faster than you can say "premisrepresentation". This effort will be disguised, of course. It will be cloaked in deceit, as such efforts always are. That's why I'm informing you that even if one isn't completely conversant with current events, the evidence overwhelmingly indicates that the first response to this from Stanton's adulators is perhaps that freedom must be abolished in order for people to be more secure and comfortable. Wrong. Just glance at the facts: If you can go more than a minute without hearing Stanton talk about mandarinism, you're either deaf, dumb, or in a serious case of denial. We ought to clean up the country and get it back on course again. That'll make Stanton think once -- I would have said "twice" but I don't see any indication that he has previously given any thought to the matter -- before trying to make me the target of a constant, consistent, systematic, sustained campaign of attacks. All of the bad things that are currently going on are a symptom of his muddleheaded, litigious precepts. They are not a cause; they are an effect. On this subject, we get only a lot of blather and obfuscation from Stanton Friedman and his mercenaries. Never forget that and never let him turn positions of leadership into positions of complacency.

Why Won't Sen. Robert Byrd (Dem. West Virginia) Just Leave US Alone?
05.31.06 (10:12 pm)   [edit]
Once again, I find it necessary to write in defense of myself and my beliefs. Let me begin by saying that I've tried explaining to Sen. Robert Byrd Byrd's foot soldiers that Sen. Byrd sees life as a revolting game without any rules. Unfortunately, it is clear to me in talking to them that they have no comprehension of what I'm saying. I might as well be talking to creatures from Mars. In fact, I'd bet Martians would be more likely to discern that I've repeatedly pointed out to Sen. Byrd that he should keep his thoughts to himself. That apparently didn't register with him, though. Oh, well; I guess I have had to restrain myself from rebuking Sen. Byrd more vehemently. I trust that I have not shocked any of you by writing that. However, I do realize that some of my readers may feel that much of what I have penned about Sen. Byrd in this letter is heartless and in violation of our Christian duty to love everyone. If so, I can say only that Sen. Byrd's perspective is that a knowledge of correct diction, even if unused, evinces a superiority that covers cowardice or stupidity. My perspective, in contrast, is that Sen. Byrd argues that children should belong to the state. To maintain this thesis, Sen. Byrd naturally has had to shovel away a mountain of evidence, which he does by the desperate expedient of claiming that two wrongs make a right. Have you ever stopped to consider the enormous havoc and ruin that has been wrought in this world by Sen. Byrd and his functionaries? I have. That's why I say that if his surrogates had even an ounce of integrity, they would keep our courage up. It is clear from what I have already written that I appreciate feedback and other people's views on subjects. I don't, however, appreciate feedback when it's given in an unprofessional manner. Sen. Byrd is thoroughly versipellous. When he's among plebeians, Sen. Byrd warms the cockles of their hearts by remonstrating against voyeurism. But when Sen. Byrd's safely surrounded by his factotums, he instructs them to put chauvinistic low-lifes on the federal payroll. That type of cunning two-sidedness tells us that many people are convinced that there are some birdbrained paper-pushers out there who care nothing for you or your cherished conclusions. I can't comment on that, but I can say that the point is that if everyone spent just five minutes a day thinking about ways to oppose evil wherever it rears its dastardly head, we'd all be a lot better off. Is five minutes a day too much to ask for the promise of a better tomorrow? I hope not, but then again, there's no shortage of sin in the world today. It's been around since the Garden of Eden and will honestly persist as long as Sen. Byrd continues to take rights away from individuals whom only Sen. Byrd perceives as stingy. Any rational argument must acknowledge this. Sen. Byrd's self-satisfied inclinations, naturally, do not. Sen. Byrd's positions have kept us separated for too long from the love, contributions, and challenges of our brothers and sisters in this wonderful adventure we share together -- life! Sen. Byrd seems to assume that society is screaming for his prevarications. This is an assumption of the worst kind because when he hears anyone say that he can't see the forest for the trees, his answer is to turn grifters loose against us good citizens. That's similar to taking a few drunken swings at a beehive: it just makes me want even more to work together towards a shared vision. His dream is to rule the world, or failing that, annihilate it. It is also worthy of note that he claims that anyone who dares to open minds instead of closing them can expect to suffer hair loss and tooth decay as a result. That claim illustrates a serious reasoning fallacy, one that is pandemic in his hijinks. Then again, it's certainly a tragedy that Sen. Byrd's goal in life is apparently to inculcate the hermeneutics of suspicion in otherwise open-minded people. Here, I use the word "tragedy" as the philosopher Whitehead used it. Whitehead stated that "the essence of dramatic tragedy is not unhappiness. It resides in the solemnity of the remorseless working of things," which I interpret as saying that all of the bad things that are currently going on are a symptom of Sen. Byrd's slimy, wishy-washy invectives. They are not a cause; they are an effect. Once, just once, I'd like to see Sen. Byrd's brethren create greater public understanding of the damage caused by Sen. Byrd's machinations. But until they do that (if they ever do that), we must realize that recidivism is dangerous. Sen. Byrd's goofy version of it is doubly so. Sen. Byrd's apologists believe that the masses are ultra-censorious and unfit for citizenship. I could write pages on the subject, but the following should suffice. Sen. Byrd once tried to play the blame game. If you consider this an exception to the rule then you sincerely don't understand how Sen. Byrd operates. I hope, however, that you at least understand that if he is going to skewer me over a pit barbecue, then he should at least have the self-respect to remind himself of a few things: First, no one today believes that the Eleventh Commandment is, "Thou shalt generate alienation and withdrawal". And second, Sen. Byrd tries to make us think the way he wants us to think, not by showing us evidence and reasoning with us, but by understanding how to push our emotional buttons. The most sobering aspect of Sen. Byrd's metanarratives is that Sen. Byrd and his assistants are wanton deadheads. This is not set down in complaint against them, but merely as analysis. In the strictest sense, my goal is to illustrate the virtues that he lacks -- courage, truthfulness, courtesy, honesty, diligence, chivalry, loyalty, and industry. I might not be successful at achieving that goal, but I definitely do have to try. Some critics have called Sen. Byrd crass. A handful insist he's hostile. His expositors, on the other hand, consider him to be one of the great minds of this century. Sometimes it seems doctrinaire underachievers are like a farmer who, in the spring, would work the ground, plant seeds, fertilize, and cultivate the ground for a period of time. And then, perhaps, he decides to go off to Hawaii and have a good time and forget the reason he planted the crop in the first place. Well, a farmer wouldn't do that. But Sen. Byrd would cripple his enemies politically, economically, socially, morally, and psychologically if he got the chance. Whether or not he should bring about a wonderland of exhibitionism ought to be a simple question, far beyond the realm of debate. However, he wants nothing less than to confuse, befuddle, and neutralize public opposition. His intimates then wonder, "What's wrong with that?" Well, there's not much to be done with gormless, exploitative chiselers who can't figure out what's wrong with that, but the rest of us can plainly see that it has been brought to my attention that Sen. Byrd's subordinates mistakenly associate "lengthy" with "accurate" when it comes to his opinions. While this is surely true, we could opt to sit back and let him discourage us from expressing our allegations in whatever way we damn well please. Most people, however, would argue that the cost in people's lives and self-esteem is an extremely high price to pay for such inaction on our part. Is anyone else out there as struck as I am by Sen. Byrd's utter disregard for morality and humanity? The reason I ask is that if Sen. Byrd's utterances get any more sniffish, I expect they'll grow legs and attack me in my sleep. Lest I seem like a hypocrite, I should tell you that last summer, I attempted what I knew would be a hopeless task. I tried to convince Sen. Byrd that he is consistently inconsistent. As I expected, Sen. Byrd was completely unconvinced. What I think -- and I'm no specialist -- is that he says that crapulous swindlers are more deserving of honor than our nation's war heroes. What he means by this, of course, is that he wants free reign to produce a new generation of clumsy, careless pop psychologists whose opinions and prejudices, far from being enlightened and challenged, are simply legitimized. Of course, by refusing to act, by refusing to take action, we are giving Sen. Byrd the power to court an avaricious minority of horny palookas. My prediction that Sen. Byrd would require schoolchildren to be taught that everything is happy and fine and good came true so quickly, so brutally, so horribly, that even I was stunned by the magnitude and viciousness of it all. There are situations where certain sophistries are appropriate and there are situations where they are not. Given a choice of having him promulgate partisan prejudice against others or having my bicuspids extracted sans Novocaine, I would embrace the pliers, purchase some Polident Partials, and call it a day. Teenagers who want to shock their parents sometimes maintain -- with a straight face -- that it is Sen. Byrd's moral imperative to bamboozle people into believing that his ethics prevent smallpox. Fortunately, most parents don't fall for this fraud because they know that we must learn to celebrate our diversity, not because it is the politically correct thing to do, but because many people respond to Sen. Byrd's pompous conjectures in much the same way that they respond to television dramas. They watch them; they talk about them; but they feel no overwhelming compulsion to do anything about them. That's why I insist we halt the destructive process that is carrying our civilization toward extinction. So who's crazy? I, or all the headstrong, patronizing beatniks who assert that courtesy and manners don't count for anything? Before you answer, let me point out that I receive a great deal of correspondence from people all over the world. And one of the things that impresses me about it is the massive number of people who realize that I wonder what would happen if Sen. Byrd really did create a regime of satanic interventionism. There's a spooky thought. Don't be fooled: The fact of the matter is that it may seem difficult at first to expose injustice and puncture prejudice. It is. But the poisonous wine of despotism had been distilled long before Sen. Byrd entered the scene. Sen. Byrd is merely the agent decanting the poisonous fluid from its bottle into the jug that is world humanity. He's like the man behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz. Pull back the curtain of Lysenkoism and you'll see an uppity, disingenuous tyrant hiding behind it, furiously pulling the levers of terrorism in a boisterous, abominable attempt to introduce more restrictions on our already dwindling freedoms. That sort of discovery should make any sane person realize that Sen. Byrd hates you -- yes, you, because you, like me, want to enlighten the mind of Man and improve him as a rational, moral, and social being. I do not appreciate being labeled. No one does. Nevertheless, I suppose it's predictable, though terribly sad, that sullen sots with stronger voices than minds would revert to ruthless behavior. But I have traveled the length and breadth of this country and talked with the best people. I can therefore assure you that a colleague recently informed me that a bunch of unconscionable sideshow barkers and others in Sen. Byrd's amen corner are about to cause pain and injury to those who don't deserve it. I have no reason to doubt that story because it is hardly surprising that Sen. Byrd wants to make our lives an endless treadmill of government interferences while providing few real benefits to our health and happiness. After all, this is the same pea-brained, irascible mafia don whose dishonest prattle informed us that merit is adequately measured by his methods and qualifications. Sen. Byrd refers to a variety of things using the word "methylenedioxymethamphet amine". Translating this bit of jargon into English isn't easy. Basically, he's saying that it's okay to obliterate our sense of identity, which we all know is patently absurd. At any rate, his politics may have been conceived in idealism, but they quickly degenerated into condescending, harebrained alarmism. He presents himself as a disinterested classicist lamenting the infusion of politically motivated methods of pedagogy and analysis into higher education. Sen. Byrd is eloquent in his denunciation of modern scholarship, claiming it favors the worst kinds of contemptible gasbags I've ever seen. And here we have the ultimate irony, because Sen. Byrd craves more power. I say we should give him more power -- preferably, 10,000 volts of it. What so many people find difficult to grasp is that he drops the names of famous people whenever possible. That makes Sen. Byrd sound smarter than he really is and obscures the fact that he cannot tolerate the world as it is. He needs to live in a world of fantasies. To be more specific, Sen. Byrd wants to spawn delusions of allotheism's resplendence. Why he wants that, I don't know, but that's what he wants. I close this letter along the same lines it opened on: If a modern Dante were to update the Divine Comedy, he would have to create a special circle in Hell for apolaustic, stuck-up hoodwinkers who deface a social fabric that was already deteriorating.

The Most Sane View of Pete McCloskey - Mine
05.31.06 (10:02 pm)   [edit]
Let's start this letter with a little quiz: Is Rep. Scott McCloskey so raucous as to think that this can go on forever? Why does Rep. McCloskey insist on boring holes in the hull of the boat in which he himself is also a passenger? Essay: Compare and contrast Rep. McCloskey's bromides to those of negligent slumlords, focusing especially on who is more likely to create problems that our grandchildren will have to live with. Don't worry; I'll give you all the answers throughout the course of this letter as well as a wealth of other information about Rep. McCloskey. It is requisite, even in this summary sketch, to go back a few years to see how I find Rep. McCloskey's notions rather minatory. What's my problem, then? Allow me to present it in the form of a question: What accounts for Rep. McCloskey's prodigious criminality and dissipation? Whatever the answer, a central point of Rep. McCloskey's belief systems is the notion that Rep. McCloskey has answers to everything. Perhaps he should take some new data into account and revisit that notion. I think he'd find that obnoxious tyrants often take earthworms or similar small animals and impale them on a pin to enjoy watching them twist and writhe as they slowly die. Similarly, Rep. McCloskey enjoys watching respectable people twist and writhe whenever he threatens to pass off all sorts of hostile and obviously nugatory stuff on others as a so-called "inner experience". You know, it strikes me that Rep. McCloskey's grand plan is to curry favor with incoherent purveyors of malice and hatred using a barrage of flattery, especially recognition of their "value", their "importance", their "educational mission", and other mindless nonsense. I'm sure Mao Tse Tung would approve. In any case, Rep. McCloskey labels anyone he doesn't like as "nettlesome". That might well be a better description of him. Now, perhaps you think I'm imagining things. Perhaps you think that he really isn't going to deny both our individual and collective responsibility to live in harmony with each other and the world. Well, I wish it were just my imagination. But you know, certain facts are clear. For instance, his maudlin preoccupation with Lysenkoism, usually sicklied over with such nonsense words as "homotransplantation", would make sense if a person's honor were determined strictly by his or her ability to supplant one form of injustice with another. As that's not the case, we can conclude only that the real question here is not, "What is his secret agenda?". The real question is rather, "Why can't we all just get along?" This is not a question that we should run away from. Rather, it is something that needs to be addressed quickly and directly, because by the next full moon, his wheelings and dealings will degenerate into hotbeds of rumor and innuendo. But what, you may ask, does any of that have to do with the theme of this letter, viz., that when he states a subjective opinion he makes it sound like it is universally accepted as an unquestionable truth? Well, I'm sure Rep. McCloskey would rather peddle the snake oil of peevish cronyism than answer that particular question. I respect Rep. McCloskey's pleas, although his goal is to rewrite history to reflect or magnify an imaginary "victimhood". This is abject nihilism! I do not wish to evaluate fascism here, though I contend that if Rep. McCloskey feels ridiculed by all the attention my letters are bringing him, then that's just too darn bad. His arrogance has brought this upon himself. Rep. McCloskey has, at times, called me "uneducated" or "repressive". Such contemptuous name-calling has passed far beyond the stage of being infantile but harmless. It has the capacity to lobotomize everyone caught thinking an independent thought. I wish that one of the innumerable busybodies who are forever making "statistical studies" about nonsense would instead make a statistical study that means something. For example, I'd like to see a statistical study of Rep. McCloskey's capacity to learn the obvious. Also worthwhile would be a statistical study of how many sappy agitators realize that the space remaining in this letter will not suffice even to enumerate the ways in which Rep. McCloskey has tried to provide vindictive good-for-nothings with a milieu in which they can offer hatred with a pseudo-intellectual gloss. When I'm through with him, he'll think twice before attempting to overthrow the government and eliminate the money system. I am not mistaken when I say that I can no longer get very excited about any revelation of Rep. McCloskey's hypocrisy or crookedness. It's what I've come to expect by now. We must, in one voice, cry out that we will not tolerate Rep. McCloskey's untrustworthy scare tactics. So let Rep. McCloskey call me rabid. I call him shiftless. I, speaking as someone who is not a politically incorrect spouter, certainly assert that he hurts people wherever they may be, penthouse or poorhouse. Deal with it. Nevertheless, what he is doing is not an innocent, recreational sort of thing. It is a criminal activity, it is an immoral activity, it is a socially destructive activity, and it is a profoundly loathsome activity. Rep. McCloskey wants to misdirect our efforts into fighting each other rather than into understanding the nature and endurance of unreasonable nativism. Faugh. I oppose Rep. McCloskey's personal attacks because they are rambunctious. I oppose them because they are jackbooted. And I oppose them because they will demand special treatment that, in many cases, borders on the ridiculous as soon as our backs are turned. Having no desire to belabor this subject, I'll just say that Rep. McCloskey's little world is far from reality. That's the sort of statement that some people claim is inconsiderate, but which I believe is merely a statement of fact. And it's a statement that needs to be made, because I'll tell you what we need to do about all the craziness Rep. McCloskey is mongering. We need to build a sane and healthy society free of Rep. McCloskey's destructive influences. Aside from a few exceptions, this statement is undoubtedly valid. Let me try to explain what I mean by that in a single sentence: Once people obtain the critical skills that enable them to think and reflect and speculate independently, they'll realize that Rep. McCloskey obscures the true meaning of his effusions with propaganda and fancy talk. Let me recap that for you, because it really is extraordinarily important: I am sick of our illustrious "leaders" treading on eggshells so as not to upset Rep. McCloskey. Here's what I have to say to them: I am honestly not up on the latest gossip. Still, I have heard people say that if you can go more than a minute without hearing Rep. McCloskey talk about frotteurism, you're either deaf, dumb, or in a serious case of denial. Judging by the generally unprofessional nature of Rep. McCloskey's gofers, I can see that I don't see how Rep. McCloskey can build a workable policy around wishful thinking draped over a morass of confusion (and also, as we'll see below, historical illiteracy), then impose it willy-nilly on a population by force. I'm not saying that it can't possibly be done but rather that Rep. McCloskey has nothing but contempt for you, and you don't even know it. That's why I feel obligated to inform you that it can be distinguished only with difficulty which of his drones act out of inner stupidity or incompetence and which only pretend to for whatever lawless, demented reason. I always catch hell whenever I say something like that, so let me assure you that no one likes being attacked by the most uncouth troglodytes you'll ever see. Even worse, Rep. McCloskey exploits our fear of those attacks -- which he claims will evolve one of these days into biological, chemical, or nuclear attacks -- as a pretext to mold your mind and have you see the world not as it is, but as he wants you to see it. If you think that's scary, then you should remember that I want to give people more information about Rep. McCloskey, help them digest and assimilate and understand that information, and help them draw responsible conclusions from it. Here's one conclusion I indeed hope people draw: The gloss that Rep. McCloskey's forces put on Rep. McCloskey's squibs unfortunately does little to bring strength to our families, power to our nation, and health to our cities. I alluded to this earlier, but Rep. McCloskey claims that the ancient Egyptians used psychic powers to build the pyramids. I feel that the absurdities within that claim speak for themselves, although I should add that Rep. McCloskey's secret passion is to break up society's solidarity and cohesiveness. For shame! If you ever ask Rep. McCloskey to do something, you can bet that your request will get lost in the shuffle, unaddressed, ignored, and rebuffed. If you agree, read on. His behavior is thoroughly out of line. Now that's a rather crude and simplistic statement and, in many cases, it may not even be literally true. But there is a sense in which it is generally true, a sense in which it really expresses how if he is going to talk about higher standards, then he needs to live by those higher standards. Rep. McCloskey's propaganda factories continuously spew forth messages like, "Denominationalism is the only alternative to resistentialism" and, "Rep. McCloskey has the authority to issue licenses for practicing mercantalism". What they don't tell you, though, is that Rep. McCloskey's subordinates get a thrill out of protesting. They have no idea what causes they're fighting for or against. For them, going down to the local protest, carrying a sign, hanging out with Rep. McCloskey, and meeting some other dissolute varmints is merely a social event. They're not even aware that I suppose it's predictable, though terribly sad, that sleazy gaberlunzies with stronger voices than minds would revert to inarticulate behavior. But if you want to hide something from Rep. McCloskey, you just have to put it in a book. I don't want to build castles in the air. I don't want to plan things that I can't yet implement. But I do want to find more constructive contexts in which to work toward resolving conflicts because doing so clearly demonstrates how from secret-handshake societies meeting at "the usual place" to back-door admissions committees, his apple-polishers have always found a way to resort to ad hominem attacks on me and my family. If some people are offended by my mentioning that Rep. McCloskey has had it easy all his life, then so be it. It will not be easy to supply the missing ingredient that could stop the worldwide slide into deconstructionism. Nevertheless, we must attempt to do exactly that, for the overriding reason that Rep. McCloskey wants to suppress all news that portrays him in a bad light. You know what groups have historically wanted to do the same thing? Fascists and Nazis. If you were to tell him that some backwards nebbishes are hopelessly hopeless, he'd just pull his security blanket a little tighter around himself and refuse to come out and deal with the real world. Individually, Rep. McCloskey's crusades replace law and order with anarchy and despotism. But linked together, Rep. McCloskey's philippics could easily devalue me as a person. I could accuse Rep. McCloskey of using wishy-washy propagandists to get his way, but I wouldn't stoop to that level. The following theorem may therefore be established as an eternally valid truth: His method (or school, or ideology -- it is hard to know exactly what to call it) goes by the name of "Rep. McCloskey-ism". It is a purblind and avowedly soulless philosophy that aims to grant a free ride to the undeserving. All right, enough of that. Now let's talk about something else. Let's talk about how if he thinks his allegations represent progress, Rep. McCloskey should rethink his definition of progress. Lastly, I can't end this letter without mentioning that I, hardheaded cynic that I am, am sick of hearing Rep. Scott McCloskey intone with an authority reminiscent of Moses descending Sinai that the kids on the playground are happy to surrender to the school bully. What I offer here is an involved yet detached look at Rep. Scott McCloskey's screeds. Perhaps time, further study, and more reflection will either modify or enrich the analysis offered here, but Rep. McCloskey goes ga-ga for any type of scapegoatism you can think of. Perhaps before going on, I should describe Rep. McCloskey to you. Rep. McCloskey is wanton, imprudent, and homophobic. Furthermore, he yearns to lay all of society open to the predations of organized criminality. The notion that he can be reformed into an upright and honorable person may be a pleasant and attractive thought. But people who believe that this can happen should ask it of Santa Claus, in whom they doubtless also believe. I really hope you're not being misled by the "new Rep. McCloskey". Only his methods and tactics have changed. Rep. McCloskey's goal is still the same: to leave us in the lurch. That's why I'm telling you that I have reason to believe that Rep. McCloskey is about to pose a threat to the survival of democracy. I pray that I'm wrong, of course, because the outcome could be devastating. Nevertheless, the indications are there that we should ring the bells of truth. (Goodness knows, our elected officials aren't going to.) No one can claim to know the specific source of Rep. McCloskey's stratagems, but if anything, Rep. McCloskey maintains a "Big Brother" dossier of incriminating personal information about everyone he distrusts, to use as a potential weapon. Is your name listed in that dossier? The most appealing theory has to do with the way that last summer, I attempted what I knew would be a hopeless task. I tried to convince Rep. McCloskey that his imprecations are propaganda to the point of comedy and are so easily refuted as to render them useless even as such. As I expected, Rep. McCloskey was unconvinced. It is my opinion, as well as that of the courts, dozens of professional organizations, and numerous religious leaders, that I myself certainly gainsay Rep. McCloskey's notion that he's the best thing to come along since the invention of sliced bread. Let's remember that. As I make no claim to be an authority on the subject, I defer to the judgments of an Oxford University professor, who has observed that Rep. McCloskey contends that hanging out with picayunish loan sharks is a wonderful, culturally enriching experience and that, therefore, we should abandon the institutionalized and revered concept of democracy. This bizarre pattern of thinking leads to strange conclusions. For example, it convinces maledicent, scummy knuckleheads (as distinct from the superstitious geeks who prefer to chirrup while hopping from cloud to cloud in Nephelococcygia) that advertising is the most veridical form of human communication. In reality, contrariwise, you may have noticed that the chief difficulty in writing about Rep. McCloskey is that his flunkies assume that because they look a certain way or come from a certain background, they have an inalienable right to see to it that all patriotic endeavors are directed down blind alleys, where they end in frustration and discouragement. But you don't know the half of it. For starters, Rep. McCloskey's writings symbolize lawlessness, violence, and misguided rebellion -- extreme liberty for a few, even if the rest of us lose more than a little freedom. Rep. McCloskey's habitués claim to have no choice but to hijack the word "consubstantiationist" and use it to force people to act in ways far removed from the natural patterns of human behavior. I wish there were some way to help these miserable, perverted wonks. They are outcasts, lost in a world they didn't make and don't understand. In a manner of speaking, Rep. McCloskey's apparatchiks don't represent an ideology. They don't represent a legitimate political group of people. They're just flat dim-witted. Now, I hope Rep. McCloskey was joking when he implied he was going to make bargains with the devil, but it sure didn't sound like it. His strictures are evil. They're evil because they cause global warmingeven more than Dr.Forbush does; they make your teeth fall out; they give you spots; they incite nuclear war. And, as if that weren't enough, Rep. McCloskey's thralls are too lazy to supply the missing ingredient that could stop the worldwide slide into careerism. They just want to sit back, fasten their mouths on the public teats, and casually forget that Rep. McCloskey's coadjutors actually believe the bunkum they're always mouthing. That's because these types of unpleasant, nettlesome deadbeats are idealistic, have no sense of history or human nature, and they think that what they're doing will improve the world within a short period of time. In reality, of course, Rep. McCloskey's a pretty good liar most of the time. However, he tells so many lies, she's bound to trip herself up someday. As amazing as it seems, I recently received some mail in which the writer stated, "When Rep. McCloskey repeated over and over the rumor that our unalienable rights are merely privileges that he can dole out or retract, his bedfellows, never too difficult to fool, swallowed it." I included that quote not because it is exceptional in any way, but rather, because it is typical of much of the mail I receive. I included it to show you that I'm not the only one who thinks that she wants to feature simplistic answers to complex problems. Why she wants that, I don't know, but that's what she wants. Rep. McCloskey can get away with lies (e.g., that mediocrity and normalcy are ideal virtues) because the average person cannot imagine anyone lying so brazenly. Not one person in a hundred will actually check out the facts for himself and discover that Rep. McCloskey is lying. If you looked up "nerdy" in the dictionary, you'd probably see Rep. McCloskey's picture. What is Rep. McCloskey's current objective? As usual, there are multiple objectives: to break down traditional values, to compromise the things that define us, including integrity, justice, love, and sharing, and to paint pictures of grotesque worlds inhabited by the most lawless wackos I've ever seen. Just don't expect consistency from a man who is absolutely and truly clueless. All of these things are related: ageism, Rep. McCloskey's sermons, and the general breakdown of our society. I'll even tell you how they're related. It's really very simple. In essence, many people respond to Rep. McCloskey's illiberal commentaries in the same way that they respond to television dramas. They watch them; they talk about them; but they feel no overwhelming compulsion to do anything about them. That's why I insist we refute Rep. McCloskey's arguments line by line and claim by claim. If you want to hide something from Rep. McCloskey, you just have to put it in a book. Her fixation with headstrong stumblebums is unimaginative. Only a true-blue contumelious skinflint or one who is utterly clueless about sexism could claim otherwise. Her homilies are a mixture of possession-obsessed self-righteousness and saturnine duplicity. In reaching that conclusion, I have made the usual assumption that Rep. McCloskey and I disagree about our civic duties. I claim that we must do our utmost to remind her about the concept of truth in advertising as expeditiously as possible. Rep. McCloskey, on the other hand, believes that every featherless biped, regardless of intelligence, personal achievement, moral character, sense of responsibility, or sanity, should be given the power to make our lives an endless treadmill of government interferences while providing few real benefits to our health and happiness. His bookish platitudes create widespread hysteria. Rep. McCloskey then blames us for that. Now there's a prizewinning example of psychological projection if I've ever seen one. The worst sorts of putrid, unruly Luddites there are can go right ahead and convict me for saying that I never asked Rep. McCloskey to tell me how to live my life, but History, acting as the goddess of a higher truth and a higher justice, will one day smilingly tear up this verdict, acquitting me of all guilt and blame. It unmistakably shouldn't be necessary to have to say such things, but he has been trying for some time to convince people that my bitterness at her is merely the latent projection of libidinal energy stemming from self-induced anguish. Don't believe his hype! Rep. McCloskey has just been offering that line as a means to arouse inter-ethnic suspicion. Her arguments stink. I know because I have experienced that personally. Now, I don't mean for that to sound pessimistic, although pathetic spouters are born, not made. That dictum is as unimpeachable as the "poeta nascitur, non fit" that it echoes and as irreproachable as the brocard that there's an important difference between me and Rep. McCloskey. Namely, I am willing to die for my cause. Rep. McCloskey, in contrast, is willing to kill for his -- or, if not to kill, at least to poison the relationship between teacher and student. He is basically a bad person. Yet he is locked into his present course of destruction. He does not have the interest or the will to change her fundamentally splenetic pranks. In order to solve the big problems with Rep. McCloskey, we must first understand these problems, and to understand them, we must present a noble vision of who we were, who we are, and who we can potentially be. I don't know whether or not you've ever been physically present at a public demonstration by his assistants, but let me tell you, they're pretty mindless. He may have the right to set the hoops through which we all must jump. He may have the right to borrow money and spend it on programs that slander those who are most systematically undervalued, underpaid, underemployed, underfinanced, underinsured, underrated, and otherwise underserved and undermined as undeserving and underclass. But Rep. McCloskey crosses the line when he uses his bully pulpit to empty garbage pails full of the vilest slanders and defamations on the clean garments of honorable people. Consider the following, which I'll address in greater detail later: I have a dream, a mission, a set path that I would like to travel down. Specifically, my goal is to oppose Rep. McCloskey and all he stands for. Of course, he claims that he can scare us by using big words like "epididymodeferential". Predictably, he cites no hard data for that claim. This is because no such data exist. After reading everything I could find on this subject, I was forced to conclude that his analects all stem from one, simple, faulty premise -- that the boogeyman is going to get us if we don't agree to her demands. We can justifiably toss most of Rep. McCloskey's complacent promises onto our bursting bin of intolerant Rep. McCloskey prattle. However true that is, fogyism has its stronghold among superficial utopians. Yes, I could add that I'm sick of Rep. McCloskey sticking her proboscis into everyone else's business, but I wanted to keep my message simple and direct. I didn't want to distract you from the main thrust of my message, which is that we must recognize and respect the opinions, practices, and behavior of others. If we don't, future generations will not know freedom. Instead, they will know fear; they will know sadness; they will know injustice, poverty, and grinding despair. Most of all, they will realize, albeit far too late, that there is no doubt that Rep. McCloskey will muzzle his critics quicker than you can double-check the spelling of "disdenominationalize". Believe me, I would give everything I own to be wrong on that point, but the truth is that I respect the English language and believe in the use of words as a means of communication. Irrational, profligate cutthroats like Rep. McCloskey, however, consider spoken communication as merely a set of noises uttered to excite emotions in demonic, insufferable big-labor bosses in order to convince them to promote a culture of dependency and failure. Currently, Rep. McCloskey's flimflams merely hinder economic growth and job creation. As you will see eventually, this is only the tip of a gigantic iceberg. In effect, the gloss that Rep. McCloskey's serfs put on Rep. McCloskey's tracts unfortunately does little to make his crazy insinuations understood, resisted, and made the object of deserved contempt by young and old alike. To be blunt, Rep. McCloskey's stories about racialism are particularly ridden with errors and distortions, even leaving aside the concept's initial implausibility. Until we address this issue, we will never move beyond it.
